We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Head of Marketing with one simple objective: DRIVE TRAFFIC to our stores and online platforms. Ideally from a furniture or luxury retail background, you will be responsible for all aspects of marketing from the development of our annual marketing plan, its execution and day-to-day oversight, to creating innovative promotions and ownership of our social media and website. You’ll be responsible for the marketing budget and its ROI.

This is a fast-paced business where passionate owners are involved on a daily basis and things move quickly, which includes decision-making. You will have a small but talented team of Qatar based and outsourced creative and technical people and work within a close-knit management team where egos’s are left outside the door and a strong team ethic prevails.

You must have 5 to 10 years+ experience in 360° marketing leadership position, with a strong understanding of digital online and content creation. This is a hands-on position where you will hit-the-road running from day one. You will set the strategy that grows brand awareness and drives sales. Above all, you will have ownership of how the group speaks to its owners and business partners.

Summary: The Marketing Manager will set the strategy for That’s Living Group, Children Concept Store, Fashion, and F&B to optimize sales and create brand awareness and strategy in our existing and new international markets. The Marketing Manager will enhance the current Marketing Team with new talent and lead all the marketing activities from digital and e-commerce to in-stores marketing and special projects.

The Marketing Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to building a strong team with international industry standards, managing external and internal brands, resource budgeting and allocation to fulfill short-term and long-term department goals, aiding the sales team to reach their financial targets. The Marketing Manager must be an experienced Marketing Strategist with strong knowledge of the Middle East market and good overall international experience. You must be able to lead and inspire your team to excel in competitive and diversified international markets.

Ultimately, you will run our Marketing Department with the goal to grow profitability, competitiveness and brand awareness.

Responsibilities:

  • Create Digital, Advertising, Communications, In-Store, Wholesale and Creative strategies that drive customer traffic to our stores and digital platforms.
  • Design branding, positioning and pricing strategies in Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Audit marketing strategies created by team in Russia for their market.
  • Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for the Marketing Department.
  • Set department KPIs, monitor and report on team goals, and evaluating their effectiveness on a continuous basis.
  • Oversee the performance of local marketing team on daily and external marketing (remote teams) on project basis.
  • Advise on recruitment within the Marketing Department.
  • Promote the brands through all marketing platforms and social media channels.
  • Ensure our group brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing effort (e.g.: events, email campaigns, web pages and promotional material), and is sensitive to local cultures and cultural preferences.
  • Analyze consumer behavior and determine customer personas. Create and drive the implementation of the Company loyalty program.
  • Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share internationally. Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking.
  • Monitor competition (acquisitions, pricing changes and new products and features).
  • Coordinate sales and marketing efforts to boost brand awareness, and maintain relationship with key corporate partners.
  • Participate in the quarterly and annual planning of company objectives and plan marketing strategy accordingly.
  • Co-manage E-commerce and Social Media teams.
  • Cooperate with the landlords and developers (e.g., mall management) to run advertising campaigns on their platforms.
  • Monitor social media posts and web content for legal compliance.
  • Analyze all coverage of the brands and maintain relationships with vendors’ marketing teams in North and South America, Asia, and in Europe.
  • Work closely with Product Design Team to create product descriptions and all other digital assets for That’s Living own brands: arrange photoshoots, videography, analyze products prices comparison, review creative contents.
  • Research leading world’s brands’ most advertised products and communicate creative ideas to the Product Design Team.
  • Provide feedback to the management regarding risks and potentials for new business opportunities or deals, new product developments and potential partners.
  • Evaluate team performance of all employees for compliance with established policies and procedures in attaining its objectives continuously update and develop department S.O.P.’s.
  • Effectively communicate with the Marketing Team and motivate them to work proactively in order to handle difficult situations, with the aim to rectify them and avoid recurrences.
  • Plan, develop and implement strategies for generating resources and guiding the business model in order to attain the self-sustainability of the organization.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain a courteous and respectful attitude when communicating with co-workers or subordinates.
  • Ensure that your employees have a fair and accurate leave plan every year. In high and low seasons, the business operation should run smoothly, and overlap should be avoided.
  • Make sure all employees do not disclose or transmit any confidential or trade secret information, or proprietary information, about the company and its subsidiaries, or about the company owners, including their names, occupations and contact information to any third parties.
  • Provide detailed explanations of the memos to ensure that all the employees understand our company policies, benefits program, and the rules governing the daily conduct of employees as well as the responsibilities, and ensure that these guidelines guide them throughout their employment with the company.
  • Ensure that the employees’ appearance is appropriate to the workplace and the work they do.
  • Report any violation occurring in the workplace to the Human Resources Department so that appropriate disciplinary action can be taken. 

Skills:

  • Ability to run successful marketing campaigns on all platforms, especially digital.
  • Solid knowledge of web analytics and Google Ad words as well as in-depth knowledge of major software tools. 
  • Computer knowledge (CRM software and ERP).
  • Leadership skills with the ability to set and prioritize goals.
  • Analytical mind and, creative eye and attention to detail.
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Mastery in delegating multiple tasks.
  • Up to date with Furniture trends; accessories and best practices.
